We speak in many languages, body language, hypertext language (internet), accents, Dutch, English, German, and when we do, we translate. We translate intangible elements like awareness, feelings, energy, (digital) electric currents into something "the brain understands", but it remains intangible. The brain doesn't materialize things, neurons, synapses, chemicals, etcetera just combine in an odd way and we still try to understand how that works. Some languages, like HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) we do not need to understand to speak it fluently. We just use it. The same goes for body language. To write this blog I need a keyboard and to start a new language I need some creativity and a new application. For example, we all understand the # (hash tag) used in twitter (for those who do not use twitter you could see it as a label. #blog, would be a label for all messages about blogging). Although the first time someone said 'hash tag' to me I did not understand him because I didn't know an application which uses a hash tag and in my native language (Dutch) hash tag is pronounced as 'hekje'. So you need a symbol (#), user interface (keyboard) and an application (Twitter). The same goes for singing. You need notes, a voice and a performing band or choir. So for world peace (application) we need love (interface) and symbols and I think we have lots of symbols for that. Look for what you love most. Branding is like creating your own language and it is similar to world peace, you need to love what you sell. The difference with world peace is that everything you can love is already there and with branding you create new symbols or, and I would recommend that, strive for world peace and use the symbols people love.
fascinerend hoe de wereld werkt, waarom het één lukt en het ander niet. Kun je privé en zakelijk scheiden? Hoe ver zijn we nog af van de ideale wereld? Wie kan ik helpen en wie helpt mij?
